Is there a cost to attend?

No, there is no cost to attend. The workshop is free and open to anyone in the Houston area who wants to understand how Social Security works before filing.

Do I need to bring anything?

No — you will be provided with pen and paper to take notes. If you have a recent Social Security statement, you're welcome to bring it, but it isn't required.

Will any investments or investment products be discussed?

No. There will not be any discussion of investments whatsoever. The workshop is strictly about how Social Security works and the decisions that affect your monthly benefits.

Will I be pitched or sold anything?

No. Our classes are strictly educational. The most common feedback we receive is how nice it is to attend a truly educational workshop with no pressure.

Anyone approaching retirement in the Houston area — especially people within a few years of filing, spouses planning together, and anyone who is divorced, widowed, or still working and unsure how that affects benefits.
